What is a fresh start?
Plato said, “The beginning is the most important part of the work.” That is where I am right now in my 40’s. I am starting fresh. New company, new logo and tagline, new phone number and email address, new website…almost. It is a whole new direction from the path I chose since graduating from college. Why now? Why at all? Just as Johann Wolfgang von Goethe so cleverly realized, “We must always change, renew, rejuvenate ourselves, otherwise we harden.” I don’t want to harden. We have one magnificent opportunity on this planet. One life cycle before our existence is just a mere point on the Seurat like painting of earth’s timeline. So, my answer to the above questions…Why not! It’s perfectly legal. I am not hurting anybody, in fact my intention is quite the opposite. I have a great desire to share one of my passions with as many willing people as possible. Achieving this will not be met without many challenges. Overcoming these challenges requires endurance. That is the premise of my fresh start. Living with intention and purpose. Using food in it’s humble organic state to nourish, medicate and satisfy thus elevating my desire to live life out loud. With that being said, go out there and make your fresh start. It doesn’t have to be starting a new company. It could be cleaning out the pantry or starting to workout…again. It might be taking a trip to a foreign country or deciding to eat more vegetables. Basically, a fresh start is just a choice for something different. If you can’t tell, I love quotes. They say the things we are thinking, but with greater more notorious emphasis. So I share my final thought, from Theodore Roosevelt. “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.”
