I'm back on track publishing the blog the same day it was created.
I promised that I would try to pull from only ingredients that would be available in the average home. I’m not sure if arugula is available in most homes, however I do believe most homes should have some type of spring mix or mixed salad greens in which arugula is usually included. This is basically what I did but I had these items individually.
- 1 large carrot
- Handful of spinach
- 2 handfuls of romaine lettuce
- Small handful of arugula
- 1 Banana
- 1 Pear
- Coconut Water
- Filtered Water
At first taste, this smoothie had a stronger but delightful flavor because of the arugula. I think this drink is my favorite so far.
I felt this morning as if I have come down with a cold. First symptoms are a slightly sore throat and sinus pressure. I have been living at max speed, so it won’t surprise me. I am, however, quite curious how long it will last and the severity as it has hit smack dab in the middle of my 10 day green drink experiment. I don’t plan to use any medications, I want to let this play out so that I can know for sure that using nutritious whole foods in my kitchen could possibly have heightened my immune system. I remain positive.
